The short version
- You do not need a Strubers account to play.
- Game progress and settings are stored on your device. Our game-event history currently stays there too.
- This website has no advertising, third-party analytics, tracking cookies or mailing-list form. Its three-puzzle demo runs in memory and resets when you reload.
- The mobile beta uses Google test ads. Test ads can still involve data processing by Google’s advertising and consent SDKs.
- Commercial advertising and in-app purchases are not enabled in the current beta.
Information in the mobile game
Strubers stores your current puzzle, unlocked levels, stars, lives, earned tools, collected patches, language and sound settings locally. It also keeps a limited history of up to 400 gameplay and advertising-related events, such as a level being completed or an optional reward being requested. This history is not sent to a Strubers analytics server in the current version.
These records let the game resume, apply rewards correctly and remember your preferences. We do not ask for your name, contacts, precise location, camera or microphone access to play.
Advertising and your choices
The mobile app includes Google AdMob and Google’s User Messaging Platform. When the advertising services run, Google may process network and device identifiers, an IP address and approximate location derived from it, ad interactions and technical diagnostics. The exact processing depends on your platform, consent choices and the SDK configuration. The website demo does not load these SDKs.
Where required, the app asks for your choices before requesting ads. On iOS, permission to track is handled through Apple’s tracking permission prompt. You can play without granting that permission. Privacy choices can be reopened from the app’s Settings when the consent service makes that option available. Device advertising controls are also available in iOS or Android settings.
If commercial ads are introduced, optional rewarded videos will be clearly identified. We will update this notice and the relevant store disclosures before changing how data is used.
Read Google’s Privacy Policy, how Google uses information from partner apps, and its SDK disclosures for iOS and Android.
This website and support
Our hosting infrastructure processes the technical information needed to deliver and secure the website, such as an IP address, requested URL, browser information and request time. The site is hosted on our server at Hetzner in Finland. Routine access logging is disabled in the website container; infrastructure or error logs may still contain technical information needed for security and troubleshooting.
If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you choose to include. We use it to answer your request, diagnose reported issues and handle privacy enquiries. Please avoid sending passwords, payment card details or unnecessary personal information. There is no newsletter subscription through this website.
Beta testing and purchases
Apple provides the TestFlight beta distribution service. It may process tester details, installation information, crash reports and feedback under its own terms and privacy information. Feedback you submit through TestFlight may be shared with us. See Apple’s TestFlight privacy information.
Purchases are not enabled in the current beta. The app includes a purchase integration that is inactive without configuration. Before enabling purchases, we will describe the purchase service, data handling and applicable store terms here.
Why we process information
We use information necessary to provide the game and respond to service requests. Where the GDPR applies, the basis is providing the service you request, our legitimate interests in securing and maintaining it and responding to enquiries, consent for processing that requires it, or compliance with a legal obligation. You can withdraw consent without affecting processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
Sharing and international processing
We do not sell your support messages or local game saves. Hosting and email providers may process information to provide their services. Google and Apple process information when you use their advertising, consent or beta services, as explained above and in their privacy notices. They may process data outside your country, including outside the European Economic Area, using the safeguards described in their notices.
We may also disclose information when required by law or needed to protect the service or address an abuse or security incident.
How long information stays
Local progress remains until the app’s stored data is removed; device backups may retain a copy according to your device settings. The local game-event history replaces older records after reaching its limit. The website demo does not persist its progress.
Support correspondence is kept while needed to resolve your request and for any applicable legal or dispute-handling requirements. Technical logs are kept only as needed for operating and securing the service. Google and Apple apply their own retention policies to data they process.
Your rights and deleting data
Depending on your location, you can ask to access, correct or delete personal information we hold, restrict or object to processing, and receive a portable copy where applicable. Contact hola@sayhello.studio with “Strubers privacy request”. We may need proportionate information to verify the request.
There is no Strubers account to delete. We cannot remotely erase a save held only on your device. Removing the app’s stored data removes local progress and earned items, so only do so if you want to reset them. Removing an app may not remove a separate device backup. Use Google or Apple’s privacy controls for information held by those services.
You may complain to your local data protection authority. In Spain this is the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD).
Children
Strubers does not ask players to create a personal profile or submit information in the game. We do not knowingly collect children’s personal information through our own services. If a child has sent personal information to us or you have a concern about its use, please contact us so we can investigate and address it. A public release’s age rating and advertising treatment will be stated in the relevant store.
Changes and contact
We will keep this page current as the game develops and highlight material changes through appropriate in-app or website notices. For anything about privacy, contact hola@sayhello.studio.
